Ask questions instead of making accusations. "Help me understand..." works better than "You always..."
Focus on Behavior, Not Character
"When the report was late..." not "You're unreliable." Specific behaviors can change.
Name the Dynamic
"I notice when I bring this up, we tend to get stuck." Acknowledging the pattern can break it.
