Do you store my voice?
No. Your voice is processed in real-time but never stored. Only text transcriptions are used to power the conversation, and those aren't permanently saved either.
Do you store my conversations?
Conversations are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored. We may collect anonymized usage data (like scenario categories used) to improve our service.
What analytics do you use?
We use PostHog for basic analytics to understand how people use the app and improve the experience. No personal conversation content is tracked.
How can I contact you about my data?
Email us at support@avatartalk.ai. AvatarTalk is based in Gliwice, Poland.
Getting Better Results
How do I describe my scenario?
Be specific! Include:
- Who you're talking to (role, relationship)
- The context (workplace, family, business)
- What you want to achieve
- Any cultural or situational details that matter
Example: "I need to ask my manager for a raise. She's been supportive but the company is going through budget cuts. I've exceeded my targets for 2 quarters."
How do cultural settings work?
Avatar names like "European Manager" or "Iranian Colleague" are variety labels passed to the scenario generator. For specific cultural contexts, describe them explicitly in your scenario:
- "Use a direct, US-style approach"
- "This is a high-context culture where indirect communication is preferred"
- "My manager values hierarchy and formal respect"
The AI will adapt based on your description.
What are success criteria?
These are goals the AI uses to evaluate your conversation. They're generated based on your scenario but you can think of them as checkpoints: "State your request clearly", "Handle objections calmly", "Reach a concrete next step".
Limitations
Is this a replacement for professional advice?
No. AvatarTalk Practice is a training tool. It's not a substitute for HR advice, legal counsel, therapy, or professional coaching. Use it to build confidence and practice, then seek appropriate professional guidance for serious situations.
How accurate are the cultural simulations?
The AI does its best based on your description, but cultural nuances are complex. Treat this as practice, not a guarantee of how a real conversation will go. When in doubt, consult someone with direct cultural experience.
